Shingles and caps
Remove damaged material and fit compatible shingles or caps with the required attachment and laps. The adjacent shingles must tolerate the work.

Repair the failed part of the roof and the layers it has affected. Start with a free inspection of the opening and the roofing around it.
A pipe boot has a collar that seals around a vent pipe. When that collar splits, rain can run beside the pipe. A lifted shingle exposes a different path, and flashing pulled away from a wall exposes another. These problems can leave similar indoor stains while needing different work.
We look for the entry point and check how the repair can join the surrounding assembly. Water can travel along the deck before it appears inside, so the roof opening is not always above the stain.

A lasting local repair restores the water-shedding detail rather than covering the symptom.

Repair or replace the failed collar and base, integrating the new detail with the underlayment and shingles. A ring of caulk cannot cure every failed boot.
Restore step, counterflashing or transition details where water has a path behind the covering. Deteriorated wood or wall material can widen this work.
A contained repair makes sense only if it can leave a sound connection.
Temporary protection limits further water entry while the permanent work is planned. It does not establish that the damaged roof is repaired. The finished job must address the failed component, the material beneath it and its tie-in to sound roofing. Keep away from a wet roof, exposed wiring or a sagging ceiling; tell us if water is entering an occupied room.

Repair pricing follows access and the detail being rebuilt. A visible missing shingle and a leaking wall joint are not interchangeable jobs.
Height, pitch and the amount of roofing that must be opened affect labor and protection.
Wet underlayment, damaged wood and incompatible earlier repairs can expand the original scope. The change needs to be explained before the added work proceeds.
Yes. A small indoor drip can come from water that has spread below the covering. The inspection follows the entry path and checks the affected layers.
A compatible shingle must fit the system, but weathering and discontinued colors can leave a visible difference. Appearance and repair limits belong in the choice before work begins.
When the surrounding roof cannot accept a sound repair or failure extends across larger areas, compare the work with roof replacement.

Tell us about the leak, loose shingles or failed detail. The inspection is free.
